The following list is intended to provide you with an overview of the steps you need to take in order to become a Lindburgers franchisee. Please carefully review this site. Becoming a franchisee is a financial investment and a personal commitment that requires serious consideration. For our part, we are committed to offering you the full support of Lindburgers as you explore becoming a franchisee. From submitting your application, to the review process, to the day that you open your store — and every day thereafter — we'll work closely with you to help build your business and achieve your goals.

STEP 1: Review web site and complete online confidential consideration form.
Lindburgers is actively pursuing highly motivated individuals who want to have control of their destiny, own their own business and leverage a proven system that will help them offer a great product to the people in their community. Once you become a part of the Lindburgers family you will have a financial and operational responsibility to live up to and maintain the Lindburgers Brand. Our philosophy of success and responsibility are the core elements to our growth.

STEP 2: Consideration Request Review and Phone Interview
Upon receipt of online form, our Franchise Development Manager will contact you by phone to discuss preliminary questions and review the feasibility of a long-term business relationship. A face-to-face meeting may be scheduled at an existing Lindburgers restaurant at this time.

STEP 3: First Face to Face Meeting, Receive Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC)
The goal of this meeting is for the potential franchisee and Lindburgers to have a better comfort level on how our business partnership would work. At this meeting, you will learn about our franchise program and the support we offer (such as site design/selection, training, marketing, field support, etc.) We will discuss your responsibilities to the franchise system and your personal qualifications and business objectives. You will also be invited to contact any of our current franchisees to learn more about owning and operating a Lindburgers franchise.

In addition, you will receive Lindburgers Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC). The UFOC is a disclosure document describing important franchise information required by law and the franchise agreement. It also contains a copy of the Franchise Agreement, financial statements, and a list of franchisees you may contact. Once you have received the UFOC, we urge you to review it carefully with your attorney or accountant and determine the compatibility of the opportunity with your goals and financial capability. We are fully prepared to answer any questions you or your advisors may have. Please be aware that the Franchise Agreement contained in the UFOC has been prepared in compliance with federal and state regulations governing franchise contracts. Those regulations require a uniform agreement for each franchisee. You will be asked to sign an acknowledgement of receipt, which must be returned before you proceed to the next step. Call us with any additional questions you may have during this step.

STEP 4: Due Diligence Process
Upon receipt of the UFOC please call the Franchise Development department to discuss any questions you may have and to assess your interest in pursuing a franchise with our company. If you wish to continue in the process of obtaining a franchise, it will be necessary to complete the detailed financial statement enclosed in the UFOC and fax or mail the form to us for further evaluation. Also during this period you will have the opportunity to meet with the founder and Chairman as well as other members of the Lindburgers executive team. During this time we will complete a background, character, and credit check to verify all submitted information on your application. The purpose of this step is to provide you with the full comprehension and appreciation for all resources that Lindburgers has to offer. This due diligence process is an excellent opportunity for you to review our operation first-hand.

STEP 5: Formal Commitment and Entering into a Franchise Agreement
Once the terms have been negotiated and all appropriate paperwork has been submitted, you will then enter into a Lindburgers Franchise Agreement and pay the $125,000 franchise fee. It is only after you have signed a Lindburgers Franchise Agreement that you become a Lindburgers franchisee.

STEP 6: Site Selection and Begin Store Design and Construction
Selecting the site is a joint process between the franchisee and Lindburgers Franchising Company. We will provide you with our site selection criteria and if you want assistance we will help you get in touch with commercial realtors who specialize in finding retail locations. Upon your request once a potential Lindburgers site has been identified we will review it. We will utilize our extensive site criteria list that has been established by our experienced personnel for use in determining proper locations. Also our Design and Construction team will provide you with a construction manual, which you can utilize to find an architect and general contractor so that the construction process can begin. Our Franchise Development Manager will stay in contact with you during the design and construction process.

STEP 7: Training
About 4 weeks prior to your opening, you and/or your operating partner and manager will attend our 4-week training program at Lindburgers U. The curriculum involves three phases: L101 homework, 2 weeks of on the job training at a Lindburgers restaurants and 2 weeks of detailed classroom training.

STEP 8: Complete Construction and Grand Opening Celebration!
After you have successfully completed your training, we will begin the final preparation steps for the on-site Grand Opening kickoff at your new Lindburgers Restaurant.
